We have been looking for this stunning Cyp for a while and here it is!
Cypripedium californicum is a distinct, pure botanical species native to the mountain ranges of northern California and southwestern Oregon. In its natural habitat, it grows exclusively in damp, nutrient-poor serpentine seeps, cold mountain springs, and riverbanks. Morphologically unique among North American lady's slippers, this species is renowned for its remarkable multi-flowering habit. Mature stalks can produce anywhere from 3 to over 20 small, miniature blossoms arranged sequentially along a single stem, each featuring a pure white pouch offset by dull yellow to greenish-brown sepals and petals.
Plants are available mid October for October planting only.
